Oroville.

Bright lights, nightclubs, big name entertainment and theme parks. If this is your choice then Oroville is not your destination.

A slower paced vacation without the hustle and bustle. Vistas of open country, forests, fishing, hiking, gold panning and antique shops in a quaint downtown. If this is your choice then consider Oroville in Northern California.

Oroville is at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, but at the lower elevations. Situated midway between Reno and San Francisco and 70 miles north of Sacramento. Good road access via state routes 99 or 70. Oroville has an airport for general aviation but there is no scheduled air traffic. Airlines fly into Sacramento. The urban area has a population of over 40,000. There are three public golf courses in the area. Lake Oroville offers fishing, boating and recreation. It has 167 miles of shoreline. Two Indian casinos are located in Oroville and these offer some showroom entertainment. The climate is hot in the summer months with winters cool but rarely to freezing temperature. Rainfall is mostly confined to the winter and spring seasons.

We have a large 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home (1900 Sq ft) in a semi rural area 5 minutes from town. Private back yard with covered patio and hot tub. Master bedroom has a queen bed and private bath. Second bedroom has a full size bed. Third bedroom is used as our den/office and hobby room. All normal amenities including family room, air conditioning, central heat, washer, dryer, dishwasher, TVs computer and garage door opener and a well stocked pantry. The home is well maintained. Half-acre yard with small orchard and grape vines. Our home is in the Oroville urban area, just outside the city limits. We are 5 minutes from downtown Oroville and popular Lake Oroville. There is a neighborhood convenience store close by.

The area is very quiet semi rural with large trees and lot sizes. Friendly neighbors are close by, but not too close. We have a '94 low mileage Honda accord and a 2004 Pontiac Vibe that can be included in an exchange. You can have the use of our two bicycles. There are numerous bicycle and walking paths in the area. There is a bicycle rack for trips farther afield. There are several golf courses in the area. Oroville is the gateway to spectacular Feather River Canyon and the huge Lake Oroville recreation area with 167 miles of shoreline. Offers world class fishing and water sports. There are two Indian Casinos within a few miles. We are non-smokers and would prefer the same.

We sold our business and retired. We are non smokers and are fully house trained. We take good care of our home, and are even more careful in someone elses.
Our Children are grown so there are only two of us for an exchange.
